Our story
It all started with a balcony that was too small
Urban Planty was born in Koper, on the sea near Trieste, from an idea as simple as it was stubborn: to bring greenery to places where there's no garden and the balcony is too small. Anei grew herbs and flowers in just a few square metres, battling every summer with pots that toppled over, suffocated roots and plants that couldn't survive a week's holiday.
Instead of giving up, he started building. After dozens of prototypes, a patented vertical system was born: a single pole, nine coconut-coir pots arranged in a spiral and a reservoir that forgives mistakes. No drill, no walls to drill into — just plants. The project launched on Kickstarter and immediately found people who, like him, dreamed of a living corner at home.
Today Urban Planty is in the homes of more than 10,000 people across Europe. We still manufacture in the European Union, with natural materials and the same obsession with detail as on day one.
